Thanksgiving

We decided that we would dress up like the pilgrims and Indians this year for our thanksgiving feast.  The kids loved that they got to eat at preschool.  This was really fun and I am so thankful to all the parents who were willing to make this day extra fun.  Thanks.

Pumpkin Shirts

We had so much fun this year making our pumpkin shirts.  We told the kids the dye was witches brew and they loved it.  I hope that they all enjoy their shirts.  The hardest decision was trying to decide what face they wanted to draw on their pumpkins.

Show and Tell

We will be having show and tell on Thursday and Fridays.   Your child is welcome to bring something that can fit into their backpack to share with the class on these days only.

Writing with Shaving Creme

The kids were all a little unsure if it was going to be okay to get messy like this.  We used the shaving cream to practice writing the number we were working on as well as our names.  They love doing this!  This would be a great way for them to practice either their first name or last names at home as well.

Homework Packets

Homework packets will go home with your child this week.  I sent home a note last week, but just in case you didn't get it I thought I would post as well.  The homework packets are optional.  They are not due back to me.    I send them home because  they really do help children reinforce what we are learning at school.  I hope that they will be helpful in helping your student learn the concepts we are working on in class.

First Day of School

The first day of school was a success.  This Year  all the kids excited and eager to get started. 

They all decided they wanted to pull a funny face.  The funny thing is before I took the picture they all had to look at each other to see what everyone else was doing.  This happened in both classes.

This was supposed to be the funny face picture but everyone was a little unsure of what to do!

I am so excited for this year and hope that you are all excited to!

Open house

There will be a preschool open house Thursday the 23rd of August from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m.  So come check out the new preschool, meet the preschool assistants and have some treats.  I hope to see all my new preschoolers there.  School will start on the 27 of August for the four year old class and the 28th for the three year old class.  

A new school year

A new school year is fast approaching.  I am so excited to be in my new house and have my new preschool room ready.   I am going to make a very valiant effort at keeping the blog up and running this year.  In the past I have done well the first couple months and then failed to be successful at keeping it current.  Keeping the blog current is my goal this year.  I am so excited to get the ball rolling this year!
